Recharge with a Hollywood-Style Spa Day at L’Ermitage Beverly Hills

Cooler, drier weather in Los Angeles makes travel more pleasant—especially for someone from Florida used to humid summers—but it can also leave skin feeling parched. I noticed the effects the moment I stepped off the plane in the City of Angels: while my hair thrived in the mild air, my face felt tired, tight, and in need of serious hydration.

No other spa revived my skin like Joanna Czech Los Angeles Studio at L’Ermitage Beverly Hills. Although the hotel’s main spa was undergoing renovations, the studio operated from two beautifully updated suites on the third floor. I was greeted with chilled fruit water and a soft robe, which set a calm tone right away.

Before my treatment I completed a brief intake form describing my concerns so the facial therapist could tailor the session precisely. Soothing music and a balcony view over Beverly Hills framed a 90-minute Enhanced LED facial. My therapist examined my skin closely and identified dehydration. She used high-quality, lightly scented products rich in hydration and vitamin C, and combined them with targeted massage techniques across my face, neck, shoulders, and arms to boost circulation and encourage relaxation. The gentle approach was mindful of sensitive skin—products weren’t overpowering or irritating.

After a long day of travel I felt slight puffiness, and the therapist addressed that with specific massage techniques and LED therapy that cycled between blue and red light. The treatment emphasized efficacy over gimmicks: rather than relying on exotic ingredients with hard-to-pronounce names, the protocol blends pure, well-formulated botanical ingredients with advanced technology—microcurrents and ultrasound—to smooth, firm, and restore the skin. The results were immediately visible.

Every step felt deliberate and restorative, moving me closer to refreshed, hydrated skin. While the 90-minute facial was one of the studio’s longer offerings, Joanna Czech Studio provides a range of shorter treatments to suit different needs and schedules. The studio’s protocols reflect Joanna Czech’s years of research and global experience, selecting the best techniques and ingredients from around the world.

After my facial I headed to the L’Ermitage Beverly Hills lobby to check in for a Signature Treatment at Ricari Studios, located in another transformed suite. I changed into a close-fitting, semi-transparent white jumpsuit; the session focuses on circulation, muscle release, lymphatic activation, and tension relief—perfect timing after several days of long-distance travel left my calves and IT bands sore.

The treatment began with a consistent, powerful sequence that worked from my arms and shoulders down to my legs and feet. My calves and IT bands reacted strongly, but in a productive way—an intense yet beneficial sensation that loosened tight muscles. Next I wore a compression garment connected to a machine that alternately tightened and released along my legs, stimulating lymphatic drainage. While the garment worked, the therapist massaged my neck and shoulders with a fragrant oil, completing the session.

Rising from the table felt transformative. I left the treatment feeling elongated, relaxed, and energized—my muscles noticeably less tight and my skin luminous. I slept better than expected that night, an added bonus when adjusting to a new bed and travel schedule.

Although L’Ermitage Beverly Hills’ dedicated spa space will ultimately be enhanced once renovations finish, the temporary wellness suites demonstrate that exceptional results depend more on technique, expertise, and product quality than on square footage. Joanna Czech Studio and Ricari Studios showcase what matters most in wellness: skilled practitioners, thoughtful protocols, and effective treatments that truly rejuvenate guests.
