MSC Cruises Introduces Onboard Digital Assistant for Guests

MSC Cruises is introducing a new digital platform called MSC for Me, designed to simplify and enrich the onboard experience for guests.

Scheduled to debut this year, MSC for Me will be installed on MSC Meraviglia in June and MSC Seaside in November. The system combines a mobile app, onboard navigation tools and a digital concierge to answer common travel questions and streamline guest services.

The MSC for Me app provides an array of practical features: a digital concierge to reserve specialty dining and experiences, a navigation tool to locate restaurants and venues aboard the ship, and virtual reality previews of shore excursions to help travelers plan their time ashore. Together these tools let guests organize much of their cruise itinerary from their device.

“From day one, innovation has been at the very core of what MSC Cruises stands for,” said Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman of MSC Cruises. He noted that the company develops new ship prototypes to meet evolving guest needs, an approach that supported strong growth over the first decade in the cruise industry. Vago also highlighted the company’s early investment—about $21 million across the first two ships—to build technology and infrastructure that serve guest needs for years to come.

The system was developed in partnership with TailorMade to create a personalized experience for every guest. Intelligent face-recognition systems and interactive wearable bracelets will enable seamless access to ship services and deliver geo-located suggestions tailored to where guests are onboard. These features aim to make navigation, reservations and activity planning more convenient and intuitive.

Overall, MSC for Me is intended to bring digital convenience to the heart of the cruise experience—helping passengers find their way around, book dining and events easily, preview excursions before they leave the ship, and receive personalized recommendations that enhance their vacation.
