Exploring New York Connectivity: Internet, Transit, and Networking Guide

Aeromexico has expanded its New York network by launching a new nonstop route to Monterrey, Mexico, one of the carrier’s major hub cities. The daily service connects New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) with Monterrey International Airport (MTY) using 99-seat Embraer 190 aircraft. Each aircraft includes 11 Clase Premier seats, Aeromexico’s business class offering.

This new Monterrey flight complements Aeromexico’s existing presence in New York, which already includes five daily flights to Mexico City International Airport (one of which operates as a codeshare with Delta Air Lines) and a daily nonstop to Cancún International Airport. Together, these routes strengthen the airline’s ability to serve both business and leisure travelers between New York and multiple Mexican destinations.

Makiko Matsuda Healy, senior vice president of global tourism development at NYC & Company, noted the value of the added service: “Aeromexico’s new route enhances access for travelers from northern Mexico who wish to visit New York City’s five boroughs for business or leisure.” New York remains the top U.S. destination for travelers from Mexico, with an estimated 394,000 visitors expected this year.

The Monterrey nonstop provides convenient flight options for passengers seeking direct connections between northeastern Mexico and the New York metro area. With the Embraer 190 configuration, Aeromexico offers a compact regional jet experience that still delivers a premium cabin for passengers who prefer Clase Premier. This complements the airline’s broader schedule from JFK, improving connectivity and offering more flexibility for itineraries that involve Mexico City, Cancún, and Monterrey.

By adding Monterrey to its New York portfolio, Aeromexico reinforces its role as a key link between Mexico and the U.S. Northeast. The route supports both tourism and commerce, enabling easier access for leisure visitors, corporate travelers, and those visiting friends and family. Travelers can expect daily departures tailored to demand, with onboard service and seating consistent with Aeromexico’s regional fleet standards.

Overall, the new nonstop service is part of Aeromexico’s ongoing efforts to expand point-to-point connectivity and better serve markets with strong travel demand. The addition strengthens ties between Monterrey and New York and increases options for passengers seeking direct flights without transfers, making travel between these metropolitan areas simpler and more efficient.
