Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles has reopened on Mahé’s scenic west coast, unveiling a refreshed look and renewed energy. Following a full-scale renovation, the resort’s 192 guestrooms and suites now combine contemporary design with natural elegance, upgraded amenities and thoughtfully designed social spaces.

Set amid lush palm gardens and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, the resort now includes new Lagoon Access Rooms and expanded pool areas. Rooms and outdoor spaces are crafted to encourage slow living, whether guests prefer watching the sunset from a private terrace, reading in a hammock beneath the palms, or enjoying quiet moments by the water.
The renovation also introduces refreshed dining concepts. Pti-Bazar serves globally inspired small plates, Somewhere focuses on wood-fired grill specialties, and SEYUMAI offers fresh sushi with a Seychellois twist. For relaxed poolside service, Zil Bar and Lagon Bar provide light bites and drinks. In the coming year the resort will open two additional venues: Nowhere, a rum-and-hammock bar tucked among the palms, and Upper Deck, a Champagne and tapas lounge with elevated views over the bay.

Beyond dining and design, the resort offers a variety of leisure experiences. Guests can unwind on the beach, enjoy treatments at AvaniSpa, snorkel in clear waters, and explore nearby nature reserves. Cultural experiences include market visits and island cooking classes, giving visitors opportunities to connect with local traditions and flavors.
With its updated rooms, enhanced public areas and expanded dining options, Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles aims to balance contemporary comforts with the relaxed pace of island life, making it a destination for meaningful, memorable stays on Mahé.
