This fall, Crystal Cruises is introducing a new amenity called “Late-Risers Adventures” to give guests greater flexibility and a more relaxed pace on vacation. The program includes shore excursions that depart the ship closer to 11 a.m. or noon, as well as an extended breakfast service from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., so travelers who prefer extra sleep or a leisurely morning routine can still participate in the ship’s curated activities.
“Travelers vary widely in how they like to spend their days, and many value rest and unhurried mornings,” said Edie Rodriguez, president of Crystal Cruises. “Late-Risers Adventures is designed for guests who want to sleep in, are adjusting to a new time zone, or simply enjoy a long breakfast—allowing them to maintain their preferred schedule without missing the carefully planned Crystal Adventures offered in select ports.”
The later-departure excursions will be available starting with Crystal Serenity’s September 19 Boston–Québec sailing and Crystal Symphony’s September 27 Hamburg–Lisbon sailing. Crystal Cruises also plans to offer Late-Risers Adventures on a selection of other itineraries worldwide, giving more travelers the option to explore ashore at a gentler hour.
By shifting excursion start times and extending breakfast hours, the amenity aims to accommodate different travel styles while preserving the quality and expertise of Crystal’s shore programs. Guests who choose the Late-Risers option can expect the same well-crafted experiences—guided tours, cultural visits, and active excursions—simply scheduled later in the morning to align with a relaxed onboard routine.
