Marriott Opens First Hotel in Kazakhstan: What Travelers Need to Know

Marriott Hotels has opened its first property in Kazakhstan with the launch of the 271-room Astana Marriott Hotel, situated in the city’s prime business, shopping and entertainment district. The five-star hotel’s interiors combine traditional Kazakh artwork with a palette of neutral tones and vibrant silks, reflecting the country’s historical ties to the ancient Silk Route.

Guests can choose from a range of dining options on site. Vista Bar & Lounge offers a contemporary fusion of European and Asian dishes, while Aroma restaurant focuses on seasonal preparations of grilled meats and fish alongside selected French and Kazakh specialties. The Lobby Bar serves a variety of drinks and light bites throughout the day.

For meetings and events, the hotel features three flexible meeting rooms and a ballroom that accommodates up to 230 guests, making it suitable for conferences, weddings and social gatherings. With this opening, Marriott International expands its presence in Kazakhstan to five hotels, strengthening its regional footprint.
