The Year of Sorolla
This year marks the centenary of the death of València-born painter Joaquín Sorolla. Celebrated for his luminous depictions of Mediterranean light, Sorolla’s works are prominently featured at the València Museum of Fine Arts, and the museum has mounted a special immersive exhibition titled Sorolla Through Light, offering visitors a fresh perspective on his paintings and artistic legacy.

European Green Capital 2024
València has been recognized for its environmental initiatives and was designated the European Commission’s Green Capital for 2024.
