“Food Meets Wine” at Borgo Egnazia presents a curated series of four-course tasting dinners that celebrate the flavors of Puglia. Every Friday evening throughout August, the hotel’s signature restaurant, Due Camini, serves a special menu showcasing regional Apulian dishes paired with wines from the historic Leone De Castris winery.
Leone De Castris, founded in Puglia nearly 350 years ago, is a respected Italian winery known for its rosé and sparkling wines. For these events, Chef Stefano Santo designs each course to complement a different sparkling wine from the estate, creating thoughtful and balanced pairings that highlight both food and wine.
Among the selections is the exclusive Five Roses Anniversario Brut Rosé, a wine offered at Borgo Egnazia as part of this tasting experience. The dinner is priced at €95 per person (approximately $127), and includes the four-course menu with the wine pairings chosen to enhance each dish.
This series is an opportunity to enjoy refined Apulian cuisine in the elegant setting of a five-star hotel while exploring the character and heritage of one of the region’s oldest wineries. Reservations are recommended, as seating for these special tasting dinners is limited.
