Virgin Atlantic Adds In-Flight Sleep Aids for Better Rest on Flights

Virgin Atlantic has partnered with premium British brands de Mamiel and This Works to introduce a two-step aromatherapy kit for Upper Class passengers. The kit is specifically designed to combat jet lag, promote restful sleep, and help travelers adapt more quickly to new time zones.

As part of its wellbeing offerings, Virgin Atlantic was also an early adopter of Headspace, providing a selection of mindfulness videos aimed at helping customers feel calmer and healthier while flying.

Upper Class guests now receive a hot towel infused with oils developed exclusively for the airline by de Mamiel. The formulation differs for day and night flights: the daytime Enliven blend combines bergamot, sweet orange, and ylang-ylang to uplift and refresh, while the High Altitude night blend features fragria, eucalyptus, and lavender to soothe and encourage relaxation.

For overnight journeys, passengers are given a deep sleep pillow spray from This Works, a product with clinical support for improving sleep quality and promoting a more restorative night’s rest on board.

In addition, Headspace created 13 short films that are available through the in-flight entertainment system. These guided videos teach techniques to help passengers fall asleep and rest more effectively during flights.

“We are always looking for ways to make flying an even more fabulous experience, and now customers traveling in Upper Class can benefit from our unique blend of onboard aromatherapies,” said Jill Brady, executive vice president of customer experience at Virgin Atlantic. “We partnered with leading British beauty brands de Mamiel and This Works to provide a two-step aromatherapy kit onboard all Upper Class flights to help customers overcome jet lag and enjoy a deep, relaxing sleep onboard.”
