Flavors of Japan: A Guide to Authentic Japanese Cuisine

ANA is highlighting the cuisine of Miyagi, Ehime and Miyazaki prefectures beginning in March as part of its Tastes of Japan initiative.

The refreshed menus aim to introduce international travelers to regional Japanese flavors while supporting local producers and stimulating regional economies by increasing demand for local agricultural ingredients.

Passengers flying ANA during this phase of Tastes of Japan can expect dishes that showcase local specialties:

  • Miyagi beef stew — A rich beef stew prepared with beer from Miyagi prefecture, offered as a main course in business class on selected routes.
  • Ehime tangerine bavarois — A light, custard-like dessert made with figs and iyokan, a fragrant tangerine variety native to Ehime.
  • Miyazaki sirloin steak — Grilled Miyazaki Japanese Black sirloin served with a zesty Japanese ginger sauce.

In addition to these menu items, ANA invites customers to sample a selection of Japanese sake, shochu and awamori at airport lounges in Haneda (HND), Narita (NRT) and Kansai (KIX).
