Unlock Oneworld Priority: Which Frequent-Flyer Status Perks You Get

oneworld has introduced a new Priority branding initiative to make it easier for frequent flyers to find and use the alliance’s premium airport services. The program highlights where travelers can access benefits such as dedicated check-in counters, fast-track security lanes, airport lounges and priority boarding.

The oneworld Priority signage displays the alliance’s three frequent-flyer tiers — Emerald, Sapphire and Ruby — so members can quickly identify which facilities and services are available to them. Each symbol directs cardholders to the appropriate locations in the airport where their status privileges apply.

Perth Airport (PER) in Australia is the first airport to display the new oneworld Priority signs. The rollout will continue across more than 1,000 airports served by oneworld member airlines in 155 countries. Sydney (SYD), Berlin (TXL) and Dusseldorf (DUS) will follow in August, with additional U.S. gateways scheduled for September and Doha (DOH) and Amman (AMM) in October.

“We believe oneworld offers one of the most compelling ranges of alliance benefits for our most loyal customers,” said Bruce Ashby, CEO of oneworld. “Identifying where those privileges are available can be difficult in busy or unfamiliar airports. The new oneworld Priority signage is designed to remove that uncertainty. The message is simple — look for the oneworld Priority logo to find where your privileges are offered.”

Members who want to compare oneworld tiers with each member airline’s own frequent-flyer program and review full benefit details should consult the oneworld benefits pages on the alliance website.

Current oneworld member airlines include airberlin, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, LAN Airlines, TAM Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Jordanian, S7 Airlines and SriLankan Airlines.
