Trends within the bookings show a shift toward later spring travel this year, with many families scheduling trips in late April. In the United States, domestic travel remains strong, especially to sunny hotspots such as Los Angeles, Miami and Orlando. Seasonal and cultural events are driving interest in other markets: Israel sees increased bookings around Passover and Easter, while Japan attracts visitors for the cherry blossom season.
Virtuoso’s year-over-year growth data highlights several fast-rising destinations. Switzerland leads with growth exceeding 500 percent. Greece and Morocco each report increases of more than 300 percent, and Japan’s bookings are up about 220 percent.
Additional notable gains include the United Arab Emirates with roughly 197 percent growth, Spain at 112 percent, Turks and Caicos at 90 percent, and Chile at 78 percent. These surges reflect a mix of renewed international travel demand, event-driven travel, and renewed interest in both classic and emerging luxury destinations.
Overall, the data points to a busy spring season for luxury travel, with travelers balancing domestic escapes and international journeys tied to seasonal attractions and cultural celebrations.
