Top 10 Most Punctual Airlines of 2025: On-Time Performance Ranked

In an era when flight delays have become commonplace, it is refreshing to spotlight airlines that maintain punctual operations. Aviation analytics firm Cirium has released its annual report identifying the most on-time airlines of 2025, highlighting carriers and regions that delivered reliable schedules throughout the year.

For the second year in a row, Aeromexico earned the distinction of the world’s most punctual airline, registering a 90.02 percent on-time performance. This marks only the second time a carrier has secured consecutive global wins since Cirium began publishing the ranking in 2009. In 2025 Aeromexico operated 188,859 flights across 23 countries, demonstrating industry-leading schedule reliability.

Other top-performing airlines included Saudia and SAS, posting on-time rates of 86.53 percent and 86.03 percent, respectively. These carriers stood out for consistent operations and strong schedule adherence across their networks.

Regionally, Delta Air Lines retained its title as North America’s most on-time airline for the fifth consecutive year, achieving an 80.90 percent punctuality rate. In Europe, Iberia Express led regional rankings, while Philippine Airlines emerged as the most punctual carrier across the Asia-Pacific region.

In Latin America, Copa Airlines secured its 11th regional win—the most victories by any airline since Cirium began the report—with a standout 90.75 percent on-time performance. Safair topped the Middle East and Africa regional rankings, reflecting strong operational consistency within that region.

The Cirium report also recognized Qatar Airways for the robustness of its global hub operations, recording an 84.42 percent on-time performance across more than 198,000 flights spanning six continents. Additionally, Virgin Atlantic received Cirium’s new Most Improved award, acknowledging the largest year-over-year operational performance gain among global carriers.

Overall, Cirium’s 2025 analysis underscores how a combination of disciplined scheduling, operational investment, and network management can deliver significantly higher levels of reliability for passengers. While delays remain an industry challenge, the report highlights airlines and regions that set a standard for punctuality and offer passengers more dependable travel experiences.
