Southwest Airlines is adding extra flights to accommodate travelers headed to Atlanta this weekend.
On Friday, Feb. 1, Southwest will operate additional service between Boston (BOS) and Atlanta (ATL), Los Angeles (LAX) and Atlanta, and St. Louis (STL) and Atlanta. The Boston–Atlanta route will see two extra flights that day, while the Los Angeles–Atlanta and St. Louis–Atlanta routes will each receive one additional flight.
More supplemental flights are scheduled for Monday, Feb. 4, on the same city pairs. The Boston–Atlanta route will again have two added flights, and both the Los Angeles–Atlanta and St. Louis–Atlanta routes will have one extra flight each.
“These extra flights meet higher demand as fans make plans to follow their teams to Atlanta to watch the biggest football game of the year,” said Brook Sorem, senior director of network planning for Southwest Airlines. “Southwest has more than 3,100 Atlanta-based employees ready to showcase our highlight reel–worthy hospitality to everyone traveling to the big game.”
If you plan to travel for the event, check your reservation and the airline’s official communications for the latest schedule updates and boarding information.
