Park Hyatt has announced the debut of Park Hyatt Los Angeles, the brand’s first luxury hotel in the city. The new property marks the sixth Park Hyatt in the U.S. and the second in California, continuing the brand’s focus on personalized service and calm, residential-inspired design.
The hotel will feature 184 guestrooms, including 34 suites designed by Studio Munge. Slated to open as part of a mixed-use development in Downtown Los Angeles, the property is located adjacent to the Staples Center and is expected to bring a refined hospitality option to the neighborhood. The development plan includes a curated retail and restaurant component with seven stories of storefronts, an open-air galleria, and a prominent 700-foot ribbon of LED signage along Figueroa Street.
For the first time, Park Hyatt is expanding into the residences market with The Park Hyatt Los Angeles Residences at Oceanwide Plaza. The residential component will offer 164 units, with sales announced to begin in 2018, and will extend the brand’s emphasis on discreet luxury and bespoke living spaces.
Park Hyatt properties worldwide are known for delivering elevated, understated luxury and thoughtful service, and the new Los Angeles location is positioned to meet the expectations of guests seeking both comfort and style in a premier entertainment and leisure district.
Downtown Los Angeles has experienced strong development momentum in recent years, attracting a number of prominent hotel projects. Since the 2010 openings of JW Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton in the area, the neighborhood has continued to grow its hospitality offerings, including the recent addition of IHG’s flagship InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown. Park Hyatt Los Angeles joins this wave of luxury hotels, contributing to the evolving downtown hotel landscape.
