The award-winning Novotel brand is expanding to China’s southernmost province with a new hotel in Haikou, Hainan.
Operated by AccorHotels, the new Novotel property opens in the capital’s growing northeast district, bringing dependable midscale accommodation to a rapidly developing area. The hotel’s location offers convenient transportation links: about 40 minutes from the nearest airport, roughly 90 minutes to Sanya by high-speed train, and only a five-minute taxi ride to downtown Haikou.
Guests will find Haikou’s scenic attractions and diverse dining scene within easy reach, including historic arcades and architecture that reflect the city’s 700-year heritage.
“As the first Novotel in Hainan province and the brand’s 27th hotel in Greater China, Novotel Haikou Xinbudao is opening at the right time,” said Gary Rosen, chairman and COO of AccorHotels Greater China. “Haikou is poised to play a leading role in plans for Hainan’s transformation into a major free-trade zone, which will drive development and create significant business opportunities.”
The hotel offers 141 guest rooms, including 15 deluxe rooms with spacious balconies. Dining options include an on-site restaurant with a variety of cuisines and six private VIP dining rooms suitable for gatherings. For meetings and events, the property provides three function rooms totaling 800 square meters.
Leisure and lifestyle amenities are designed to meet the needs of families and business travelers alike: an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a tennis court and a supervised kids club. These facilities complement the hotel’s convenient location and make it a practical choice for visitors to Haikou.
With its combination of modern amenities, accessible transport links and proximity to cultural and culinary highlights, Novotel Haikou Xinbudao aims to serve both business and leisure travelers seeking comfortable midscale lodging in Hainan’s capital.
