In February, the flagship U.S. property of the Turkish Marmara Collection, the Marmara Park Avenue, will open in New York City and introduce a new wellness center to Manhattan. The centerpiece of the spa is a traditional Turkish hammam, staffed by skilled masseurs and estheticians who will tailor treatments to create memorable, individualized guest experiences.
The wellness facility will include private treatment rooms, an experience shower, a fully equipped fitness center, a lap pool and a teak-deck relaxation area with lounge chairs. Access to the spa and its amenities is reserved exclusively for hotel guests and is included in room rates.
Also debuting is an expansive 10,000-square-foot luxury spa and fitness center at the recently revitalized Condado Vanderbilt Hotel in San Juan. This facility will feature Puerto Rico’s first hammam and a tranquil arrival space with a sauna, steam room and robe room. Guests can visit a boutique offering beauty consultations and products, or create personalized scents at an Aroma Blending Bar. The fitness center provides ocean views for an energizing workout experience.
The spa includes seven treatment rooms, each designed with a distinct atmosphere, plus an outdoor terrace for open-air services. The hammam will showcase traditional materials such as a heated marble massage slab, marble benches and mosaic-clad walls to evoke an authentic, serene environment. The treatment menu is thoughtfully designed and fully customizable, and a dedicated in-room spa menu will make it possible to enjoy many services in the privacy of guest rooms.
