Aloft by Marriott Expands Across California with New Hotels

Starwood Hotels & Resorts is expanding its innovative Aloft brand with a new property in California. Scheduled to open in March 2017, Aloft Dublin–Pleasanton will be situated on the East Bay side of the San Francisco Bay Area — a growing hub for startups and established technology companies.

The hotel will feature 120 loft-inspired guest rooms, a large outdoor pool with cabanas, a 24-hour fitness center, the brand’s signature W XYZ bar, and approximately 1,200 square feet of flexible meeting and event space.

“Aloft will operate nine hotels in California by 2017, with much of the brand’s growth fueled by rising demand in and around Silicon Valley,” said Allison Reid, senior vice president of North America development for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. “Owners and developers are eager to bring Aloft to new markets due to its success with the next generation of travelers.”

Starwood’s Aloft portfolio already spans 15 countries and represents the company’s second-largest hotel pipeline, with additional properties planned in cities including Munich, Stuttgart, Dubai, Nepal, and Indonesia.
