Marriott Lets Guests Book Tours and Activities via Facebook Messenger

On-demand, direct communication is an essential way to connect with satisfied customers, and Marriott is leveraging both to promote a new service that lets guests browse and reserve activities virtually while receiving real-time recommendations from experts.

Marriott Moments introduces travelers to more than 110,000 curated experiences worldwide, including walking tours, culinary events, day trips and priority access to major attractions. Guests who are members of Marriott’s rewards program can also earn points when they book these experiences, offered in over 1,000 destinations globally.

To assist travelers who aren’t sure where to start, Marriott teamed up with Facebook Messenger so guests can chat with Marriott Rewards representatives and refine their options. From a tailored list of suggestions, users can filter results by location, popularity, price and traveler reviews directly within Messenger to find options that fit their needs.

While the Facebook Messenger integration is useful for inspiration, quick tips and narrowing choices, reservations themselves must still be completed on the Marriott Moments website.
