Marriott Expands St. Regis Luxury Hotels into Morocco

Marriott International has signed The St. Regis Tamuda Bay, marking the brand’s first property in Morocco. Scheduled to open in 2020, the resort will sit on the country’s northwestern coast and form part of a new lifestyle development designed to attract discerning travelers.

“The rich heritage and cultural legacy of Morocco have long appealed to luxury travelers. The St. Regis Tamuda Bay represents an exciting step for St. Regis as the brand expands into destinations that welcome a new generation of luxury guests,” said Alex Kyriakidis, president and managing director, Middle East and Africa, Marriott International. “We are pleased to deepen our partnership with Eagle Hills and look forward to delivering an exceptional experience that honors the destination and the St. Regis legacy.”

The hotel will feature 100 guestrooms and suites, each offering sea views and signature St. Regis butler service to ensure personalized attention for every guest.

Dining options on site will include a specialty restaurant, an all-day dining venue, and a bar, providing a range of culinary experiences. Social and wellness facilities will encompass a spa, swimming pool, and fitness center, creating spaces for relaxation and recreation for both leisure and business travelers.

Positioned along Morocco’s scenic coastline, The St. Regis Tamuda Bay aims to blend local culture and modern luxury. The property’s design and amenities are intended to reflect regional influences while meeting international standards of service and comfort. With its mix of beachfront location, curated dining choices, and dedicated guest services, the resort is set to become a landmark for upscale hospitality in the region.

This opening represents Marriott International’s continued growth in North Africa and its strategy to introduce renowned luxury brands to new markets. The St. Regis Tamuda Bay is expected to attract travelers seeking refined accommodations, thoughtful amenities, and authentic connections to place.
