Leading the Future: Strategies for Tomorrow’s Innovators

LOT Polish Airlines is reshaping air travel with a modern fleet, refreshed cabin designs and an expanding route network. As the airline readies new aircraft and cabin products in the coming year, it is also positioning Warsaw as an efficient transit hub for travelers connecting between North America and Europe. With strategic investments in service and infrastructure, LOT is preparing to offer passengers faster connections and a smoother travel experience.

Chopin Airport

Since 2011, LOT Polish Airlines has collaborated with Polish Airports State Enterprise to raise standards for transiting passengers at Warsaw Chopin Airport. The partnership focuses on improving passenger services, modernizing airport facilities and growing transfer traffic through Warsaw, with the aim of making Chopin Airport a reliable East-West transit point that connects travelers across continents.

To support this vision, LOT introduced minimum connection times at Chopin Airport, allowing passengers to transfer more quickly between flights. These scheduling improvements expand access to LOT’s route network and make it easier for travelers to reach more destinations via Warsaw. As a result, passengers benefit from a greater number of connecting flight options and shorter transit times.

Polonez at Chopin

In 2011 LOT opened its flagship Polonez business-class lounge at Chopin Airport to elevate the transit experience for premium passengers. At more than 5,600 square feet, the lounge is divided into reception, relaxation and dining areas to combine comfort with function.

The lounge features comfortable leather armchairs and sofas, a living wall with mini-waterfalls for a calming atmosphere, and a dedicated family room with separate lavatories. The menu is regularly updated and offers light meals, small plates, fresh fruit and cheeses. A full selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages is available, including beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, coffee and tea.

For travelers who need to work while in transit, the Polonez lounge provides desktop workstations and complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests can stay informed with Polish and international newspapers, magazines and up-to-date tablets. The lounge also includes luxurious shower facilities for those wanting to freshen up between flights.

The LOT Polonez business-class lounge is located in Terminal A inside the Schengen zone, past security, one floor above departures. Access is available to LOT Elite Club passengers, Miles & More HON and Senator cardholders, and Star Alliance Gold members.

One of the world’s longest-established carriers, LOT Polish Airlines has been connecting Poland with the world since 1929. Today the airline serves more than 50 destinations across Europe, the Middle East and Asia and operates modern aircraft such as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to enhance passenger comfort on long-haul routes.
