Germany’s Christmas markets draw visitors from around the world, so it’s fitting that one of the country’s busiest gateways hosts its own annual market.
Munich Airport’s Winter Market in the MAC Forum features more than 50 vendors, an outdoor ice-skating rink with skate rental, Bavarian curling, and a lively schedule of entertainment. Each evening from 6 p.m., over 40 regional bands and musical acts perform, creating a festive soundtrack for visitors sampling traditional Bavarian dishes, international specialties, and warming mulled wine.
The MAC Forum is transformed into a winter wonderland with more than 400 pine trees and a 50-foot Christmas tree at its center. Families will find a broad program of children’s activities, while shoppers can browse handcrafted gifts, seasonal decorations, and culinary treats from the market stalls.
The Munich Airport Winter Market runs daily through Dec. 29. Guests arriving by car can park free for up to five hours in the P20 garage; parking vouchers are available at all Winter Market stalls to validate parking.
Nearby travelers appreciate the market’s convenient location within the airport complex, making it an easy stop for layovers, arrivals, or locals looking for a quick festive outing. The combination of live music, seasonal food and drink, and family-friendly attractions makes the MAC Forum market a memorable holiday experience for visitors of all ages.
