Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea has completed a $1.5 million renovation of its Ishtar Royal Villas, the only luxury villas of their kind in Jordan.
“The renovation of the Ishtar Royal Villas enables us to create a new opportunity to design for a luxury experience that is uniquely situated on the shore of the Dead Sea, embedded with Kempinski’s creative offerings and, most importantly, surrounded by the Dead Sea’s wealth of natural beauty,” said Marc Guenther, general manager of Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea.
The redesign draws inspiration from the hotel’s Babylonian architectural concept while introducing contemporary touches. Color palettes and materials were selected to reflect the natural tones of the Dead Sea and its surroundings, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor connection.
The Royal Villas span two open-air levels beneath lofty ceilings. Each villa features three master bedrooms with en-suite marble bathrooms that include soaking tubs and separate showers. Glass-fronted living rooms and expansive terraces provide uninterrupted views of the Dead Sea. Shared living spaces comprise a dining room for 12 guests, a fully equipped kitchen, an infinity-edge pool, a whirlpool, a steam room, a sauna and landscaped gardens.
Modern entertainment and comfort are integrated throughout the villas: a villa-wide audio system lets guests play their preferred music indoors and outdoors, and professional in-villa spa treatments are available for a private wellness experience.
The renovation enhances the villas’ luxury credentials while preserving the property’s distinctive architectural identity and maximizing the natural beauty and serenity of the Dead Sea setting.
