JetBlue Plans Major Expansion at Fort Lauderdale Airport

JetBlue is expanding its route network from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport this fall. Beginning Oct. 29, the carrier will introduce new nonstop service to Las Vegas (LAS), Pittsburgh (PIT) and Cartagena, Colombia (CTG). These additions further strengthen JetBlue’s presence at Fort Lauderdale as the airline continues to connect South Florida with domestic and international destinations.

Over the past year, JetBlue has added six international routes from Fort Lauderdale, bringing new connections to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO); Lima, Peru (LIM); Port-au-Prince, Haiti (PAP); Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago (POS); Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ); and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ). With the three routes launching in October, JetBlue will operate 32 nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale, offering travelers more options for leisure and business travel.

These route additions reflect ongoing demand for travel to and from South Florida and support JetBlue’s strategy to grow its footprint in key markets. Las Vegas provides a major leisure and convention market for Florida travelers, while Pittsburgh strengthens domestic connectivity to a key business and cultural hub. Cartagena adds to JetBlue’s expanding portfolio of Latin American destinations, offering important ties between South Florida and Colombia.

The new services are scheduled to begin Oct. 29. Passengers planning travel this fall should check JetBlue’s official site for flight schedules, fares and any travel requirements. As always, travelers are encouraged to review airport guidelines and arrive early to ensure a smooth experience when flying out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
