François Dussart, deputy CEO of Evian Resort, explained that the spa’s design was overseen by Patrick Saussay, Development Manager for the evian®SPA brand. The new space honors the Hôtel Royal’s long spa tradition while presenting wellness as an integrated, holistic experience that reflects the resort’s century-long commitment to guest care.
Established in 2012, the evian®SPA concept now appears at five locations worldwide. Its treatments and rituals are organized around four guiding principles drawn from the water cycle: CELESTIAL — the origin of water in clouds, rain and snow; MINERAL — the way water filters through mountain rock; PRECIOUS — the slow, stabilizing underground reserves that develop over 15 years; and VITALIZING — the emergence of spring water bursting forth. These elements shape the spa’s therapies, atmosphere and guest journey.

The evian SPA at Hôtel Royal offers six single treatment rooms and two dedicated couple suites, each with views over the surrounding nature. Shared wet areas are designed to support relaxation and recovery and include an outdoor hydro-circuit, a snow room, a cold plunge pool, a traditional sauna, a steam room, an indoor pool and an aqua bar—combining thermal contrasts and water-based experiences central to the brand’s philosophy.
The spa’s programming and treatment menu reflect the four water-inspired cornerstones and are intended to deliver restorative, mineral-rich and revitalizing therapies tailored to individual needs. Guests can expect signature rituals that focus on the mineral qualities of the region’s water, alongside classic spa protocols updated through the evian®SPA approach.
