Hawaiian Airlines will expand its West Coast service with three new nonstop daily routes beginning early next year.
Airbus A321neo aircraft will operate the new flights between Portland (PDX) and Maui (OGG); Oakland (OAK) and Kauaʻi (LIH); and Los Angeles (LAX) and Kona (KOA).
“The introduction of A321neo service to the Western United States heralds the dawn of a new era for Hawaiian Airlines and its guests,” said Peter Ingram, executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Hawaiian Airlines. “The A321neo offers an exceptional combination of comfort and efficiency, and lets our guests choose from three cabin experiences to customize their journey. We look forward to sharing additional route announcements in the months and years ahead.”
Service between Portland and Maui will begin on January 18, 2018. Los Angeles–Kona service is scheduled to start on March 11, and Oakland–Kauaʻi service will commence on April 11.
Hawaiian plans to introduce a total of 18 A321neo aircraft between the fourth quarter of 2017 and 2020, and will announce additional routes as the fleet expands. The A321neo cabins are arranged to offer a range of options: 16 Premium Cabin recliners, 45 Extra Comfort premium-economy seats, and 128 economy-class seats. All seats include USB outlets for device charging, and Premium Cabin and Extra Comfort passengers also have access to an AC power outlet.
