A doorman guided me up a short flight of steps into a grand lobby where a receptionist welcomed me and invited me to a comfortable sofa to complete a smooth, efficient check-in.
Guest Quarters: The Deluxe Suite lived up to its name. This one-bedroom suite featured a spacious living and dining area, a compact kitchenette, a generous bedroom and a well-appointed bathroom. The king-size bed was exceptionally comfortable, making it tempting to linger. Two high-definition TVs offered digital channels, movie options and radio, while reliable high-speed Internet made working easy. The living area provided enough room to host a small meeting, and the bedroom could be fully closed off for privacy.
Services/Amenities: Staff assistance was a highlight of my stay; the team handled several unusual requests with professionalism. For example, when clients asked to go to a newly opened steakhouse identified only by a number, the concierge tracked the correct venue down and secured a prime table. On-site dining options are plentiful, including lively nightlife venues and quieter choices. I especially liked the deli-style outlet in the lounge, which offered fast takeaway service comparable to major cities.
Grosvenor House recently added a second tower to the complex. I stayed in Tower 1, but the new tower houses an attractive spa available to all guests. When booking treatments, be clear about your preferences and tower choice to avoid any miscommunication that could interrupt the start of a relaxing session.
The Experience: My initial impression of the hotel’s public spaces was that, despite a warm welcome, the lobby felt somewhat formal and cool due to its high ceilings and expansive scale. That impression changed quickly as attentive staff delivered consistently excellent service, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel’s location is convenient for business travelers working in Media City or Internet City, and it is just minutes from popular nightlife while remaining peaceful enough for restful nights in the guestrooms.
