Four Seasons has announced plans to open a new hotel in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, with doors expected to open in early 2018. The property will sit at the heart of the city’s financial district and form part of a striking 65-story mixed-use tower designed to combine hospitality, residences and retail.
The hotel will offer 209 guest rooms, while the tower will also include 242 Four Seasons-branded private residences and 27 serviced apartments. This combination of hotel guestrooms and long-stay options aims to serve business travelers, families and residents seeking luxury living in a central urban location.
J. Allen Smith, president and chief executive officer of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, commented on the project: “Kuala Lumpur is one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing cities in the world. As an important hub for both business and leisure travel, it is an exciting market for Four Seasons. We are proud to partner with Venus Assets to realize their vision for this remarkable property, and we look forward to welcoming guests and private-residence owners to experience Four Seasons’ signature hospitality in the heart of the Golden Triangle.”
Dining at the hotel will be varied and carefully curated. Plans call for four distinct outlets, including a Cantonese restaurant, an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby bar and a rooftop bar. These venues are designed to cater to a wide range of tastes, from casual meals and business breakfasts to elevated evening dining and social gatherings with skyline views.
Beyond dining, the hotel’s amenities will include an executive lounge for business travelers, a fully equipped fitness center and a tranquil spa offering treatments aimed at relaxation and well-being. A rooftop infinity pool and terrace will provide panoramic vistas of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, creating a compelling leisure experience for guests and residents alike.
The lower levels of the tower will be dedicated to retail, with a five-floor luxury shopping complex to be known as Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur. The retail precinct is intended to complement the hotel and residences by offering upscale shopping, dining and lifestyle options within the same development, enhancing convenience and appeal for both visitors and locals.
This project marks Four Seasons’ second luxury property in Malaysia, joining the organization’s existing Four Seasons Resort Langkawi. The new Kuala Lumpur address is positioned to strengthen Four Seasons’ presence in Southeast Asia and to offer a refined urban option for travelers seeking premium service, modern facilities and a central location within the city’s most vibrant neighborhood.
With its combination of hotel rooms, branded residences, serviced apartments, dining destinations, wellness facilities and luxury retail, the Four Seasons development in Kuala Lumpur aims to be a landmark destination that integrates hospitality and lifestyle in a prominent city setting.
