Trump Hotel Collection Debuts Luxury Properties in South America

Trump Hotel Collection is expanding its luxury portfolio with its first property in South America. Scheduled to open in 2016, Trump Hotel Rio de Janeiro will be situated in the upscale Jardim Oceânico neighborhood of the Barra da Tijuca district in Brazil, and it will be the only luxury hotel in that immediate area.

The 13-story hotel will offer 171 guestrooms and suites, many with ocean or mountain views, all finished with grey marble floors and private outdoor balconies. The property will include 11 expansive suites, each between 1,200 and 1,800 square feet, featuring private patios with plunge pools.

Onsite amenities will cater to both leisure and business travelers. The hotel will provide approximately 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a 4,000-square-foot pool deck with private cabanas and an infinity pool, plus a nightclub, full-service spa and fitness center.

“With Barra da Tijuca hosting many of the venues for the 2016 Summer Olympics and Jardim Oceânico offering a balanced mix of modern development and natural beauty, the area is poised to become a central destination in Rio de Janeiro,” said Donald Trump Jr., executive vice president of development and acquisitions at The Trump Organization.

Trump Hotel Collection currently operates properties in several major cities, including New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Waikiki, Panama City, Toronto and Miami.
