The Finnair SkyWheel opened to the public in central Helsinki at Katajanokka Harbour, near the site where Finnair first began flight operations in the 1920s. This observation wheel features 30 climate-controlled blue-and-white gondolas, including a VIP cabin fitted with a glass floor, leather seating and Veuve Clicquot Champagne service. “This summer the Finnair SkyWheel will take thousands of visitors on a scenic tour above the rooftops of Helsinki,” said Jarkko Konttinen, vice president of marketing and product development at Finnair. “We are proud to be associated with Helsinki’s newest landmark, which also has a special connection to our own history.”
