Explore Asia by Cruise: Top Routes, Tips & Destinations

From untouched rainforests and working cacao plantations to pristine beaches and 2,000-year-old temples, Asia is a continent of striking contrasts and unforgettable experiences. Crystal Cruises highlights the region’s diversity during its 2015 Asia season with a selection of immersive itineraries, including ten 12- and 13-day voyages and five shorter six- to seven-day getaways.

These 2015 Asia cruises visit destinations across Southeast Asia, China, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and Indonesia. Key features of the season include:

  • Maiden port calls to Belawan, Indonesia; Sanya, China; and Kōchi and Aomori in Japan.
  • Extended evening stays in Sihanoukville (Cambodia), Chan May (Vietnam), Bali (Indonesia), Pusan (South Korea), Taipei/Keelung (Taiwan) and Singapore to maximize time ashore.
  • Culture-focused itineraries, such as two all-China cruises with multiple overnight stays in major cities, plus voyages concentrated on Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia for deeper regional exploration.
  • Visits to lesser-traveled ports, including Yantai, China (Crystal’s first visit since 1996), Malacca City and Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, and additional calls to Taipei/Keelung.
  • Two-night stays in major urban hubs including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh City and Yangon (formerly Burma) to allow for more extensive sightseeing and local immersion.

“The 2015 Asia voyages amount to one of our most immersive, wide-ranging seasons in the region in our 25-year history,” said Edie Rodriguez, president of Crystal Cruises. The line’s focus on longer port stays and culturally rich itineraries offers travelers more time to experience local traditions, cuisine and landmarks.

Promotional fares for the 2015 Asia season start at $2,025 per person and include an all-inclusive cruise experience. Bookings made by June 30 are eligible for additional savings and up to $1,800 per person in cruise credits that can be applied to airfare and other amenities.
