Ride Aérolive: A Journey to La Plagne’s Highest Point
This winter introduces a striking new attraction that elevates the mountain experience. Aérolive is a world-first installation at La Plagne, adding two open-air cabins to the Glaciers gondola that carry passengers to Live 3000, the resort’s highest point at more than 3,000 meters above sea level. The cabins provide panoramic 360-degree views with slatted floors and no glass barriers, allowing riders to feel fully immersed in the Alpine environment. At the summit, visitors will find a viewing platform and a cozy café to enjoy the scenery.
New Chalets in Champagny-en-Vanoise
Champagny-en-Vanoise welcomes eight new chalets designed with a Far North aesthetic. The Huttopia Chalet Montanas feature pronounced gabled roofs and low, sloping side walls and are open year-round. Located about a 10-minute bus ride from the slopes, the chalets may also offer ski-back access depending on snow conditions. Interiors include a wood-burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen, a large covered terrace with picnic seating, and a dedicated ski rack—making them a comfortable base for families or groups.

New Heated Lounge at Roche de Mio
For visitors seeking shelter with a view, Le Lounge is a newly opened heated picnic room perched on Roche de Mio at 2,800 meters. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide sweeping vistas, while contemporary, comfortable seating creates a relaxed refuge from the elements—ideal for a warm break between runs or a panoramic rest stop.
Gourmet Dining at Chalet du Bresson
Chalet du Bresson, set within a natural forested area, has been renovated to become a destination for hearty, refined comfort cuisine. Restored by the La Plagne Tarentaise commune, the restaurant blends nostalgic touches and modern style: vintage decor, a crackling wood stove, and generous windows that frame the woodland. The menu emphasizes traditional French dishes presented family-style, making it a welcoming spot for shared meals after a day on the slopes.
Looking Ahead to Spring 2025: La Mega Bell Course
In spring 2025 La Plagne will debut a new event called La Mega Bell Course, scheduled for April 14–19. This playful race series combines creativity and competition through five unconventional races designed to challenge skiers of all levels. Participants can opt for full improvisation during the Saturday event, or pursue a more strategic path by practicing on timed courses available Monday through Friday, with each course revealed day by day. The event’s use of bells throughout pays homage to its Easter timing and adds a festive, communal element to the competition.
