Delta Adds New A350 Routes and Schedules for 2024

Delta has announced initial routes for its new Airbus A350 aircraft, scheduled for delivery this fall. The A350 will begin service on select transpacific routes, with the inaugural flight set for Detroit (DTW) to Narita (NRT) on Oct. 30.

Seats in the new Delta One suites and Delta Premium Select are now available for the Detroit–Narita route, as well as for Detroit–Incheon (ICN), which will begin Nov. 16, and Detroit–Beijing (PEK), starting Jan. 17, 2018.

The Delta One suites offer a private space enclosed by a sliding door, dedicated stowage, and a fully lie-flat bed with direct aisle access. Each suite includes an inflight entertainment system and premium interior finishes designed to create a comfortable, residential atmosphere. Service in Delta One includes chef-curated meals with wine pairings, in-flight bedding, noise-canceling headphones, amenity kits and loungewear.

Delta describes Delta Premium Select as a renewed premium-economy experience. On the A350, Premium Select will provide enhanced comfort and amenities, including:

  • More personal space, with up to 38 inches of pitch, up to 19 inches of width and up to seven inches of recline
  • Adjustable legrests and headrests for improved comfort
  • Westin Heavenly in-flight blanket and pillow, plus a Tumi amenity kit with Malin+Goetz travel essentials and noise-canceling LSTN headphones
  • Pre-departure beverage service followed by seasonal menu selections served on Alessi serviceware
  • A 13.3-inch high-resolution inflight entertainment screen
  • In-seat power ports suitable for both large and small devices, along with convenient storage to keep devices within reach
  • Sky Priority benefits, including faster check-in, expedited security processing, priority boarding and quicker baggage service

These new cabins reflect Delta’s focus on elevating the passenger experience across long-haul flights. The combination of private, fully lie-flat Delta One suites and the upgraded Delta Premium Select cabin aims to offer travelers more comfort, service and convenience on transpacific routes operated by the A350.
