Chicago Unveils New Brew Pass for Citywide Beer Tastings

If you enjoy craft beer, the new Chicago Brew Pass is available through Jan. 31, 2024. The pass acts as a mobile passport that can be saved to your phone’s home screen. Participants earn points for each brewery visit and can redeem them for limited-edition prizes, from branded gear to entries in a sweepstakes for a weekend in Chicago for two. Other rewards include a $100 restaurant gift card, two theater tickets, or two CityPASS tickets.

“I’m excited to see the Chicago Brew Pass go live and for craft beer enthusiasts to use it as a guide for visiting Chicago’s awesome breweries and taprooms,” said Ray Stout, executive director of the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild. “Many craft breweries in Chicago occupy former industrial spaces that have been transformed into gathering places for their local communities and attractions for visitors. I’m glad people will get to experience that distinctive part of the city through this program.”

More than 20 breweries are participating. The roster includes Twisted Hippo; Spiteful Brewing Tap Room; Goose Island Taproom; Dovetail Brewery; Cultivate by Forbidden Root; Crushed by Giants Brewing Company; Illuminated Brew Works; Haymarket Pub & Brewery; Midwest Coast Brewing Company; and ERIS Brewery and Cider House, among others.
