AC Hotels Expands Across Europe: New Locations & Travel Guide

Marriott International continues to expand its AC Hotels by Marriott brand with the addition of three new properties in Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean: Valencia, Spain; İstanbul, Turkey; and Herzliya, Israel. These openings bring the AC Hotels portfolio to 80 properties either open or under agreement across Europe and nearby regions, reinforcing the brand’s growth in key urban and coastal business hubs.

The AC Hotel Colón Valencia in Spain adds 91 rooms and marks the brand’s second property in Valencia and its 60th in Spain. Situated in the city’s commercial and financial district, the hotel targets both business and leisure travelers who want convenient access to corporate offices, shopping and local attractions. Guest amenities include an AC Lounge & Bistro restaurant, three flexible meeting rooms suitable for small conferences or private events, a fitness center, a business center for work needs and a terrace that offers a pleasant outdoor space for relaxation.

In İstanbul, the AC Hotel Istanbul Macka features 98 rooms and is located on the European side of the city near Macka Park and the Istanbul Congress Centre. Its position makes it well suited for visitors attending conferences or exploring central İstanbul. The property’s facilities support both comfort and productivity, offering an AC Lounge & Bistro restaurant, three meeting rooms for corporate gatherings or private functions, a fitness center for guests who want to maintain their routine while traveling, a sauna for relaxation and two treatment rooms where guests can enjoy spa services.

The AC Hotel Herzliya, scheduled to open in January 2016, will be located in the Central Business District of Herzliya, a short drive from Tel Aviv and immediately adjacent to the Herzliya Business Park. This location positions the hotel as an attractive option for business travelers working in the park as well as visitors seeking a coastal escape close to Israel’s commercial center. The Herzliya property will feature an AC Lounge with sea views, a Bistro restaurant, a separate bar, and a welcoming lobby with a library wall designed to create a calm, communal atmosphere. Outdoors, the hotel will include a pool and pool bar that overlook the beach, providing a resort-like setting, and it will also offer two meeting rooms for corporate or private events.

These new additions reflect AC Hotels by Marriott’s focus on modern, urban design and practical amenities that cater to both business and leisure travelers. By placing properties in strategic locations—financial districts, near major convention centers and close to business parks—the brand aims to deliver consistent service and contemporary comfort across its expanding European and regional portfolio.

Each property maintains the brand’s signature blend of efficient layouts and communal spaces that encourage productivity and social interaction. Restaurants and lounges provide thoughtful dining options, while meeting rooms and business centers support meetings and events on site. Fitness and wellness amenities further enhance the guest experience, offering ways to stay active and unwind while traveling.

With this round of openings, AC Hotels by Marriott continues to strengthen its presence in important markets, offering travelers a reliable choice for midscale to upper-midscale stays that balance modern design, functional amenities and convenient locations.
