Business travelers and vacationers alike will find it easier to stay connected at Milwaukee County’s General Mitchell International Airport (MKE), which has added 60 new complimentary charging stations throughout the terminal.
Each station, placed conveniently near gate-area seating, includes six electrical outlets and two USB ports so passengers can power smartphones, laptops, tablets and other personal devices. The units stand 62 inches tall and feature built-in illumination, making them simple to locate in busy concourses.
“At MKE we strive to create a welcoming and comfortable travel experience by listening to our passengers and responding to their needs,” said Chris Abele, Milwaukee County Executive. “These new charging stations give both leisure and business travelers a convenient way to stay connected and further enhance our customer experience.”
The initial installation has been completed on the D Concourse, with plans to roll out stations to the remaining concourses over the next few weeks so more travelers can take advantage of the service.
Passengers can expect reliable, free charging options near their gates, reducing the need to search for scarce outlets or carry extra power supplies while navigating the airport.
For those planning trips to the area, amenities like these highlight the airport’s ongoing efforts to improve convenience and comfort for all visitors and regular commuters.
