The historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Fla., is introducing a fresh approach to wellness with its new Benessere at The Biltmore program. Designed as an ongoing series of interactive experiences, Benessere encourages guests to embrace and maintain a healthy lifestyle while traveling. The program blends fitness classes, healthy cooking workshops, contemporary spa services, nutritious menu options across the hotel’s restaurants, and a wide range of wellness activities throughout the property.
Benessere — from the Italian word for “well-being” — adopts a whole-body philosophy that balances physical activity, mindful eating, and restorative therapies. It is intended to support guests’ long-term health goals rather than offering one-off treatments or short-term fixes.
“We developed the Benessere at the Biltmore program as a response to the strong demand from our guests to maintain a healthy lifestyle when traveling,” said Matthias Kammerer, managing director of The Biltmore Hotel. “The program draws on The Biltmore’s Mediterranean heritage, and we are excited to present this series to our wellness-focused guests.”
Spa offerings have been expanded to include treatments such as the Mineral Wellness Ritual and acupuncture sessions, combining traditional techniques with modern spa amenities. The hotel’s fitness center has been updated with a new Historic Fitness Walk that highlights the property while promoting activity, alongside a Succo Juice and Smoothie Bar serving fresh, nutrient-rich beverages. Guests can also choose from more than 100 weekly exercise classes, accommodating diverse fitness levels and interests.
Nutrition is a core element of Benessere. Healthy menu choices will be available in each dining venue, emphasizing seasonal ingredients, balanced preparations, and lighter alternatives. The Biltmore’s Culinary Academy will support the initiative with hands-on cooking classes covering themes such as vegan cuisine, gluten-free cooking, healthy Italian dishes, and lessons centered on fresh local markets. These classes aim to teach practical skills guests can use at home to continue healthy eating habits.
Looking ahead, The Biltmore plans to integrate Benessere into its corporate offerings by introducing Benessere Breaks for group events. These sessions are crafted to provide restorative and motivating experiences for attendees, blending team-building with wellness practices like meditation, yoga, and dance-based workouts such as Zumba. Seasonal Benessere Wellness Days will be scheduled to focus on topics like detoxification, boosting energy, and stress relief, giving guests focused opportunities to reset and recharge.
By weaving wellness into hospitality—from spa and fitness to dining and group programming—Benessere at The Biltmore seeks to make healthy living accessible and enjoyable for visitors. The program officially launches on March 19, offering guests a range of resources and experiences designed to support well-being during their stay and beyond.
