Alisal Ranch recently introduced Alisal Ranch Trading Co., a new product line inspired by the property and its surroundings. The debut collection includes a California-made wellness range developed in collaboration with local partner GARA Skincare.
“We are thrilled to announce the launch of Alisal Ranch Trading Co.,” said Kathleen Cochran, general manager of Alisal Ranch. “This milestone reflects a fresh chapter for our property. As a team, we chose to create a line of products that captures the ranch’s spirit and enhances our guests’ stay. Partnering with GARA Skincare, a fellow Central Coast business, felt like the perfect fit to introduce this collection.”

The collection highlights custom scent profiles that reflect the ranch’s native flora and landscape. Formulated with natural-origin, non-GMO and ethically sourced ingredients, the scents combine elements such as sage, rose, fresh grass, oak moss and tobacco. Products will be available in guest cottages and for purchase at The Mercantile on the property.
“The partnership between GARA Skincare and Alisal Ranch developed very naturally,” said Emilee Dziuk-Barnett, co-founder of GARA Skincare. “I was inspired by the land—its wild character, native plants and the views across the ranch. When crafting the custom scents, we considered the native plants and their traditional uses by the Chumash people, as well as the region’s ranching heritage. We wanted fragrances that evoke the place and its history, so we emphasized notes like rose, clary sage, oak moss and neroli, which feel like distinct identifiers for Alisal Ranch’s signature scent.”
