Accor Hotels has announced a new luxury property set to open in 2021. SO/ Los Cabos Hotel & Residences will be the first SO/ property in Mexico and the second in the region. The development brings the brand’s playful, avant-garde approach to luxury, offering signature services, curated social events and distinctive guest experiences.
Located on nearly eight acres of beachfront land, the project comprises 200 guestrooms and 36 private residences, each designed to capture ocean and beach views. Dining options include two contemporary rooftop restaurants focused on Mexican cuisine, complemented by an ocean-view lounge for relaxed socializing. Guests can enjoy five swimming pools, versatile event spaces and extensive leisure facilities.
The on-site SO/ SPA will feature treatments that incorporate Mexican traditions and wellness rituals, while the fitness center stands out with a glass-bottom pool. For golf enthusiasts, a nearby course designed by Nicklaus offers additional recreation. Together, these amenities aim to create a dynamic blend of relaxation, culture and active pursuits for visitors.
“We are proud to expand SO/ Hotels & Resorts in our region and bring our unconventional and exclusive luxury lifestyle brand to Mexico,” said Chris Cahill, deputy CEO of Accor Hotels. “SO/ Los Cabos Hotel & Residences will introduce an incredibly bold and exhilarating energy to the Baja California Peninsula, merging the brand’s audacious approach to luxury and service with the destination’s local character. The property is poised to become a standout addition to Los Cabos, attracting chic international travelers and stylish local patrons.”
With its beachfront position, contemporary design and lifestyle-focused amenities, SO/ Los Cabos aims to offer a fresh luxury option on the Baja California Peninsula. The combination of rooftop dining, multiple pools, spa and fitness features, and premium residence offerings positions the property as both a resort destination and a residential retreat for guests seeking a spirited, design-forward stay in Los Cabos.
