Stream Your Favorite Shows in-Room at Hyatt Hotels

Watching TV has become easier and more enjoyable at Hyatt hotels. The company announced a personalized in-room streaming experience powered by Google Chromecast, allowing travelers worldwide to stream their favorite apps directly to the guestroom TV.

Hyatt selected SONIFI Solutions, Inc.’s STAYCAST as its preferred in-room streaming provider and integrated the service with the World of Hyatt mobile app. This integration lets guests cast apps such as Netflix, Hulu and YouTube to the room television with a simple, secure workflow.

The Chromecast-based streaming is already available at 14 Hyatt properties, including Hyatt Regency New Orleans and Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans, with plans for broader rollout across the portfolio. Guests can enjoy a familiar, at-home viewing experience without entering personal credentials or codes on the TV.

The system uses secure sign-in that automatically logs guests out at check-out, protecting privacy while enabling streaming of photos, videos, presentations, shows and movies during the stay. This approach eliminates the hassle of manual sign-ins and provides peace of mind for travelers who rely on personal streaming subscriptions.

Hyatt first introduced the STAYCAST streaming experience, powered by Google Chromecast, at Hyatt Regency San Francisco in 2015. Andaz 5th Avenue was the first Hyatt property to offer 4K streaming, demonstrating the brand’s early commitment to in-room entertainment innovation.

With this collaboration, World of Hyatt continues to enhance the guest experience by aligning technology with travelers’ expectations for convenient, secure access to their entertainment. Hyatt guests should look for the new service as it expands to additional hotels across the brand.
