To strengthen their recent partnership, Qatar Airways and Royal Air Maroc are launching new codeshare routes across Royal Air Maroc’s West African network and on routes between Qatar and Morocco this month. The expanded agreement gives travelers better connections between Qatar and Morocco, more flight options and improved frequent-flyer benefits.
“The launch of this codeshare agreement with Royal Air Maroc is great news for our business and leisure passengers who frequently travel on Qatar Airways, as they will be able to connect seamlessly onward to almost 20 destinations across the West African region,” said Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways. “Qatar Airways also looks forward to welcoming Royal Air Maroc’s passengers on our services and sharing our award-winning hospitality.”
Passengers flying to Casablanca on Qatar Airways (CMN) can now connect onwards to West African cities including Cotonou (COO), Ouagadougou (OUA), Praia (RAI), Brazzaville (BZV), Pointe-Noire (PNR), Abidjan (ABJ), Libreville (LBV), Banjul (BJL), Conakry (CKY), Bissau (OXB), Monrovia (ROB), Bamako (BKO), Niamey (NIM), Lagos (LOS), Nouakchott (NKC), Freetown (FNA) and Lomé (LFW).
Within Morocco, travelers will also be able to continue to domestic destinations including Marrakech (RAK), Agadir (AGA), Tangier (TNG), Guelmim (GLN), Tan-Tan (TTA), Tétouan (TTU), Al Hoceima (AHU), Fes (FEZ), Errachidia (ERH), Oujda (OUD), Nador (NDR), Ouarzazate (OZZ), Zagora (OZG), Laâyoune (EUN), Dakhla (VIL) and Beni Mellal (BEM).
Complementing Qatar Airways’ daily service to Casablanca, Royal Air Maroc will begin three weekly flights to Doha from Sept. 9, operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The two carriers will codeshare on each other’s services, allowing passengers to combine flights from either airline for greater flexibility when traveling between Qatar and Morocco.
