Wyndham Worldwide Earns Perfect Score on HRC Corporate Equality Index

Wyndham Worldwide has once again been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign for its leadership in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality. For the sixth time, the company earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI), reaffirming its position among the top workplaces for LGBTQ+ inclusion.

The Corporate Equality Index evaluates companies on a clear set of criteria related to equality and inclusion. These criteria include nondiscrimination protections, inclusive workplace policies, benefits that support diverse families, and public commitment to LGBTQ+ equality. Wyndham’s perfect score reflects sustained efforts across the organization to build and maintain a welcoming work environment for employees, partners and customers.

“We believe maintaining an inclusive environment where every person feels able to contribute and deliver their best performance provides us with a rich foundation of perspectives and experiences that benefit our company, our customers and our communities,” said Mary Falvey, executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Wyndham Worldwide. “This is made possible every day by the behaviors, decisions and actions of our leaders and associates who embrace our company’s core values and work to enhance the supportive culture that we have.”

Wyndham’s approach to inclusion is comprehensive and practical. The company supports local LGBTQ organizations, ensures that associate benefits meet the needs of diverse families, and has taken visible stances on important equality issues such as marriage rights. Programs that advance diversity include employee resource groups, community outreach initiatives, training and education on inclusion, and benefits policies designed to be equitable for all employees.

The CEI assesses a range of LGBT-related policies and practices. Key evaluation areas include nondiscrimination workplace protections that explicitly cover sexual orientation and gender identity; domestic partner and family-building benefits; transgender-inclusive health care coverage; training and competency programs for managers and employees; and public engagement that demonstrates a company’s commitment to the LGBTQ+ community. Companies that score highly on the CEI are viewed as leaders in creating workplace practices that support LGBTQ+ employees and their families.

Wyndham’s consistent high performance on the CEI signals long-term, institution-wide commitment rather than a one-time effort. Leadership involvement and ongoing investment in inclusive policies and programs are essential to sustaining progress. These efforts help attract and retain talent, foster stronger employee engagement, and create a workplace where diverse perspectives are welcomed and valued.

Beyond internal policies, Wyndham’s external engagement strengthens its impact. By partnering with community organizations, supporting civic initiatives, and participating in public conversations about equality, the company helps advance broader social change. This combination of internal policy and external advocacy contributes to a culture that supports equality not just within the company, but in the communities where Wyndham operates.

As the CEI remains a widely recognized benchmark for corporate LGBTQ+ policies and practices, Wyndham’s repeated perfect scores highlight both the effectiveness and the consistency of its inclusion strategy. The recognition reinforces the company’s stated values and demonstrates a measurable commitment to ensuring that all employees can work in an environment free from discrimination and full of opportunity.
