TSA Reopens Temporary Store Locations Across U.S.

For five days only, travelers in the Miami area can visit a temporary TSA PreCheck application center established to meet rising demand. The pop-up center is located in a conference room at the Hilton Miami Airport and opens tomorrow at 10 a.m. Hours are 10 a.m.–7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 8 a.m.–5 p.m. from Thursday through Saturday.

Applicants must schedule an appointment online before arriving. At the scheduled appointment, the non-refundable $85 application fee is collected. Candidates should bring acceptable proof of identity and U.S. citizenship or lawful status; fingerprints are taken during the in-person enrollment session.

If you cannot make it to this temporary location, permanent enrollment centers are available at Miami International Airport and Palm Beach International Airport, along with several non-airport enrollment sites across the state. After approval, new members receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) valid for five years.

TSA PreCheck grants expedited security screening at more than 160 airports nationwide, allowing eligible travelers to use dedicated lanes and enjoy streamlined procedures that typically do not require removing shoes, belts, light jackets, or laptops from carry-on bags.

This limited-time site aims to reduce wait times for local applicants and provide an extra opportunity for those who need in-person enrollment without traveling to permanent centers. Make sure to book an appointment, bring all required documentation, and be prepared to pay the application fee at the time of enrollment.
