With the summer travel season on the horizon, several airlines are expanding service and adding seasonal routes to give travelers more options.
Low-cost carrier Allegiant Air has introduced 19 new nonstop routes, including multiple new connections to Nashville (BNA) and Destin-Fort Walton Beach. The carrier added six routes to Nashville and seven to Destin-Fort Walton Beach, with one-way fares starting as low as $38.
Spirit Airlines will increase frequency on its New Orleans (MSY) to Philadelphia (PHL) route, moving to four weekly flights starting May 2, making the connection more convenient for leisure and business travelers.
Condor Airlines is boosting service to Frankfurt (FRA) from several U.S. gateways. Flights from Las Vegas (LAS), Phoenix (PHX) and Portland (PDX) will increase to as many as five departures per week, with one-way fares beginning at $279.99.
Norwegian Air is scaling up seasonal transatlantic service. Beginning June 7, flights between Chicago (ORD) and Barcelona (BCN) will operate four times per week, and starting July 2 the New York (JFK) to Athens (ATH) route will also ramp up to four weekly departures.
Beginning June 10, TAP Air Portugal will offer five weekly flights between San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Lisbon (LIS), enhancing transatlantic options on the West Coast for summer travelers.
