Home Run: How to Hit Consistent Power in Baseball

Ideally situated for both business and leisure trips to the nation’s capital, the Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C. has just opened, perfectly timed for baseball season. To mark the opening, the hotel is offering an Opening Pitch getaway package that includes a fan tote bag, two Washington Nationals baseball caps and an official Washington Nationals program. Weeknight rates start at $229 per night, with weekend rates from $169 per night.

The hotel features 1,175 guest rooms, including 49 suites, two presidential suites and two Marquis suites. A dramatic 56-foot sculpture by Baltimore artist Rodney Carroll, titled The Birth of the American Flag, serves as the centerpiece of the new lobby. For groups and events, the Marriott Marquis offers extensive facilities: 83 meeting rooms (including 54 breakout rooms), multiple ballrooms, an 18,000-square-foot indoor event terrace and a direct underground connection to the adjacent Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Dining overseen by executive chef Matthew Morrison encompasses several venues to suit a range of tastes and occasions. Guests can choose from Anthem, The Dignitary lounge, High Velocity interactive sports bar, The Lobby Bar, and an additional specialty restaurant that will be announced soon.
