Kensington Hosts Royal Wedding Masterclasses: Insider Planning Tips

The Kensington has introduced a series of royal-inspired master classes timed ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on May 19. Each of the three classes draws inspiration from Meghan Markle and includes Champagne and canapés.

Author and chef Dani Tucker, founder of The Social Kitchen, leads the “Hostess with the Mostess” class. Participants receive practical table-setting and party-planning advice alongside a selection of Tucker’s reliable recipes, including the roast chicken reportedly prepared by Markle and Prince Harry when he proposed. The class focuses on creating effortless, elegant entertaining at home.

In the “Write Like a Royal” calligraphy session, expert calligrapher Suzie Dicker, founder of A L’Aise, a bespoke luxury stationery brand, teaches refined penmanship tailored to each attendee’s personality. Guests leave with a calligraphy guidebook, a wedding-inspiration sheet, and a calligraphy pen and ink to practice at home.

The “Furnish Your Palace” master class is presented by Jane Rocket and Lucy St. George of Rockett St. George together with floral stylist Hannah Agnes Antmann of Saint Floral. This workshop covers accessible styling techniques for special occasions, including room dressing tips and simple, stylish flower arrangements that can be adapted for home entertaining.

All classes are scheduled on select evenings in April and May from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., offering a compact, hands-on experience for anyone looking to refine their hosting, lettering, or styling skills in a celebratory, royal-inspired setting.
