British Airways Launches Premium In-Flight Dining and Chauffeur Service

British Airways has introduced enhanced services to improve the customer experience, adding both a premium transfer drive and a restaurant-style dining option on select routes.

The Premium Transfer Drive is designed for passengers who risk missing a connection. It is available to travelers arriving on a U.K. domestic flight and connecting to a short-haul Club Europe service, long-haul Club World (business class) or First service, as well as to Silver and Gold Executive Club members. A dedicated team at London Heathrow (LHR) monitors eligible passengers; when a connection is in jeopardy, the team arranges airside car transfers to speed the transfer between flights. The inbound aircraft is also notified so cabin crew can inform the passenger that a car will be ready for them on arrival.

In addition, the airline has launched a restaurant-style dining service on flights between Heathrow and New York (JFK). This offering brings a more refined on-board meal experience, with freshly prepared starters and desserts presented from display trolleys and served on enhanced table settings.

The starter choices include Loch Fyne smoked salmon tartare with wasabi crème fraîche, burrata with tomato carpaccio and olive oil and balsamic dressing, creamy butternut squash soup, and a seasonal salad with grilled vegetables. Main courses feature options such as Heritage beef with homemade gnocchi, grilled Cornish Dover sole, and homemade artichoke ravioli. For dessert, passengers can choose from lemon tart, double chocolate medley by DO & CO, Viennese-style apple strudel, or a cheese board with Somerset brie, Keen’s cheddar, Cropwell Stilton, walnuts, grapes and fig chutney.

These enhancements reflect British Airways’ focus on service quality for premium customers, combining practical assistance for tight connections with an elevated dining experience on long-haul transatlantic flights.
