Beyond fresh powder, the season offers plenty of on-mountain activities and dining. The Nov. 30 launch will include dancing at Pub le Grand-Duc and treats at Camp Boule buvette de montagne, where Chef David Forbes debuts a winter menu of wood-fired specialties. Highlights include grilled duck breast, braised beef in onion soup au gratin, squash cream soup and char poached in meat juices.

Holiday programming places Santa Claus on the slopes on Dec. 23 and 24, accompanied by music from vocal quartet Les Classy. From Dec. 28 onward, Pub le Grand-Duc hosts live music and DJs such as Tiger Blood, MGM Band, Peaches, Maude Carrier, Monastère and Le Comité. Themed après-ski nights include a country edition on Jan. 11 with The Lost French Guys, an electro evening on Feb. 22 with TOMZB, a Mardi Gras celebration on March 1 with Homebrew Remedy and a hip-hop night on March 8 featuring LOVA.

Accommodation options cater to a variety of needs and budgets, with chalets, refuges, studios and apartments available on the mountain and in Petite-Rivière-Saint-François.

Whether you come for steep terrain, family-friendly runs, lively après-ski or the dining scene, Le Massif de Charlevoix offers a compact, high-energy mountain experience just a short drive from Québec City. Plan ahead for opening-day festivities and the season’s special events to make the most of your visit.
