Until Oct. 24, travelers to Beijing can enjoy a sensory afternoon at The Opposite House with a special tea collaboration featuring British luxury fragrance house Jo Malone. The Peony & Blush Suede–inspired Afternoon Tea is served daily at Sureño from 3–5 p.m.
The menu includes a flourless chocolate and pecan cake, a white chocolate lime meringue “style” tart, and blueberry and raisin scones accompanied by Devonshire clotted cream, handmade strawberry rose jam, and acacia honey. Each guest also receives a sample of Jo Malone’s Peony & Blush Suede cologne.
Guests can book an indulgent Hand & Arm Massage at Jo Malone’s recently opened boutique in the city to complement the tea experience. The Opposite House is located in Beijing’s Taikoo Li Sanlitun shopping and entertainment district. Reservations are recommended. The price is RMB158 per person, plus a 15 percent service charge.
