Arrival/Check In: After a scenic drive from Miami across the Everglades, Bill Lodzinski, director of sales, and I arrived in Naples for a one-night stay at the Edgewater Beach Hotel.
Located directly on the Gulf of Mexico, the Edgewater is the only all-suite beachfront hotel in Naples and sits within easy reach of the city’s shopping, dining and entertainment. Tired from the drive, we checked in and were welcomed by friendly staff and a glass of Champagne.
The hotel layout naturally guides guests through the lobby toward the outdoor pool that opens onto the beach. The lobby’s comfortable, slightly ornate design evokes classic Floridian elegance, and it made a strong first impression as we headed to our suites.

Guest Quarters: The Edgewater Beach Hotel has 125 one- and two-bedroom suites, all designed to be spacious and comfortable. My suite featured a sectional couch in the living area, a king-sized bed, a full refrigerator, a microwave and a granite breakfast bar.
I unpacked quickly and spent sunset on the private balcony, enjoying a stunning view of the Gulf. The room’s amenities were thoughtful—the balcony view, however, was the highlight. Although I didn’t have time to try the in-suite massage services, they are available upon request and would be a welcome indulgence on a longer stay.
Complimentary WiFi and an iPod docking station were handy additions. After a restful night in a comfortable bed, I woke early to take a short walk along the beach.
Services/Amenities: Our stay at the Edgewater was brief, but we tried to make the most of the hotel’s offerings.
Rooms emphasize wellness, with dimmer-equipped custom lighting, in-suite aromatherapy and PranaSleep mattresses topped with luxury organic bedding. Outdoors, guests can enjoy two heated beachfront pools with complimentary towel and water service on the pool deck. The hotel also offers concierge-arranged activities suitable for families and active travelers, including guided kayak tours, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, scuba and snorkeling excursions.
The stay surpassed expectations, and I would gladly return with more time to take full advantage of the property and local activities.
